Dorothy was a resident of Rhea County for 55 years and a member of Graysville Church of God. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents, Willie and Leatha Mackbee Connor; husband, Trester Smith and daughter, Leatha Weatherbee. She is survived by children, James Allen (Ginger Louise Goodson) Smith of Graysville, Tennessee, William (Donna Burchard) Smith of Dayton, Tennessee, Jessie (Lois Harvey) Smith of Las Vegas, Nevada; Luther (Caron Rhodes) Smith of New Mexico and Catherine Smith (Tom) Paul of Dayton, Tennessee; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
