Opal was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and a member of the Dayton Four Square Church. She loved gardening, boating, quilting, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was active in Senior Neighbors and retired from Kayser Roth Hoisery. She is preceded by her parents, William and Athel Huston Walker; her husband, Roscoe Douglas; a son, Danny Douglas; a daughter, Bonnie White; a granddaughter, Theresa Dannenmuller; two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by four children; Zella (Roy) Pelfrey of Graysville, Wanda Goodwin of Dayton, Glenda (Steve) Sneed of Dayton, Linda (Steve) Smith of Dayton; one step-daughter; Mildred Hale of Dayton; two sisters, Pearl Anderson of Morris, Alabama, Idell (Benny) Ard of Cantonment, Florida; a brother, Bertie (Delta) Walker of Pikeville, Tn. ; 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Choices, Hospice, Senior Citizens and Dr. Logan for all their care for Opal.
